Thank you, Tara Bailey March 4th eBlast Wood Hollow Clothing Lists PTA Officer Survey 2013-2014 Our 3rd Annual Run for the Heights was a great success and lots of fun thanks to all of our supportive Tiger families and community! We had 1,095 registered runners, 50+ Sponsors and Health Fair Participants, and over 90 volunteers! Of the total 1,095 registered for the 5K and Fun Run there were:
787 registrants came as a referral from a THE student 415 THE Students registered (172 for Fun Run & 243 for the 5K) 142 THE students participated/finished the 5K 38 THE Staff registered 50 Bush Students 15 Johnson HS students 14 Reagan HS students Way to go, Tigers! A special congratulations to our top male, Japheth Ng'Ojoy, with a time of 16:43 (a 5:24 pace) and our top female, Lisa Welsh, with a time of 18:43 (a 6:02 pace). To see the 5K race results, go to the Results tab at http://runfortheheights.tuscanyheightspta.org/. Photos capturing our event will be posted to our website shortly. This school wide and community event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle and fitness but all the proceeds directly benefit the Tuscany Heights Elementary School PTA. You have until Friday, February 1st, to get your race registrations in for the Run for the Heights Class Contest!
Mrs. Fontenot's 2nd grade class, Mrs. Fonger's and Mrs. Cunningham's 1st grade team, and Mrs. Lunsford's 1st grade class are in the lead! These classes have won 10 minutes of extra recess and a chance to watch the Tusky Celebrity 50 Yard Dash Race! Will your class be next? Have your family, friends, and neighbors, register between now and midnight on February 1st. To get credit for the Class Contest, the registrant answers the question on the paper or on-line registration form, "How did you hear about us?". The registrant checks, "THE Student" and enters the student's name. We will cross reference the student to their class. Class Rewards Classes that bring in 10 race registrations earn 10 minutes of extra recess! Classes that bring in 15 race registrations, get to watch the Tusky Celebrity 50 Yard Dash. (We will let the winning classes chose the Celebrity)! Classes that bring in 20 race registrations earn a Bounce House during PE! The top 2 classes will win a party at Flip City! Rewards are cumulative, so a class can earn all these healthy rewards! February 1st is also the last day to receive early bird pricing, and get a guaranteed T-shirt & Goody Bag.
